Physical Activity for 30 hours
During the first two semester from 2008-2009, I have been one of the members of badminton club in GCA. At the beginning, I was not good at playing badminton, so I put much effort on it. Then long time ago, I make a great progress. Because of my effort, I have a chance to join the badminton team in GCA. Thus we have many activities. So, soon our team has a match between NIS, GCA and some other school in Xian Lin for charity. After that, we also have a competition in GCA with other students in GCA for two days. We have a special time to practice of badminton skill to improve our ability, so we always play badminton in gym of NFLS at night on Wednesday. In badminton club, there is one club leader, Leo Qin. Also, we have a teacher, Mr. Harris, to instruct us how to play badminton well and teach us the skill of playing badminton. Every weekend, all of team members should go to the gym of NNS playing badminton, and we always make a little progress every time.

The first competition is in the Xian Lin, and it is hold for charity by GCA, NIS and some other school. During the progress, I learn many things from my partner and opponents. For example, we should cooperate very well when double play and help each other; otherwise you will lose the game and played very tired. At the beginning, I am very nervous, because most of the opponents look stronger than me and older than me. I was challenged and stressed. To my surprise, the opponents are friendly. They know we are younger than them, so told us patiently when we don’t know the rule. However, they don’t look down upon us and treat us impartially. Luckily, we still win some plays and gain the admiration from the opponents. Time flies when we’re having fun .
At the weekend, we have a competition in GCA with many teachers and students. That should be easy for our team members to win the game. To my surprise, there are also some students and teachers play badminton very well. That’s should be a fierce rivalry. After this process, I gain the most impression insights which is we should attach importance to the weaknesses and put more effort on the practice. Finally, I get the 4th place in this game, and I have a good time here.
I join in the badminton club and play badminton only last for 4 months, but I learn a lot from it. I know do the exercises is good for our health and let us get stronger. Also, it is good for us to build a well-behaved image. I realize the importance of Personal Health and Physical Activity. However, there are also some things that I should balance. For example, I run forward faster than run back, so I should stand back. I believed I have learnt many useful skill during the badminton team and I love playing badminton.
